An Act Concerning 2001-02 Meeting Dates And Times And Special Events

Section 1. The purpose of this act is to establish the CGS meeting schedule for the 2001-02 school year, in accordance with Article VII, Section 1 of the CGS Constitution.

Section 2. Meetings in Section 3 will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at a location to be determined by the President of the Council.

Section 3. Meeting dates will be:

13 July 2001
10 August 2001
28 September 2001
26 October 2001
30 November 2001
18 January 2002
15 February 2002
8 March 2002
12 April 2002
3 May 2002
31 May 2002

Section 4. The Council will hold its annual officer elections at its 3 May meeting.

Section 5. The Graduate Student Orientation, sponsored by the Council of Graduate Students and the Graduate School will be held on 17 September 2001 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at University Hall.

Section 6. The Annual CGS Welcome Picnic will be held on 21 September 2001 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (location TBA).

Section 7. The Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum will be held on 20 April 2002 (time and location TBA).

Section 8. The Annual CGS Spring Picnic will be held on 31 May 2002 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. (location TBA).

Section 9. The Annual CGS Inauguration Ceremony will be held on 24 June 2002 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. (location TBA).

Section 10. This act will take effect immediately upon approval at a regular meeting of the Council of Graduate Students.
