A Resolution Concerning the Potential War Against Iraq and its Impact on OSU

WHEREAS in times of national and international crisis incidents of hostility against international students, students perceived to be international students, students both protesting and supporting war, students affiliated with the United States military, and others increase; and
WHEREAS the Council of Graduate Students and The Ohio State University encourage an academic environment where tolerance and mutual respect abound,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of Graduate Students affirms the right of all individuals to live a life free of harrassment based on, among others, their ethnicity or political belief; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of Graduate Students calls upon all graduate students to participate in creating a campus atmosphere which celebrates our diversity and makes all students feel welcome, safe and secure; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of Graduate Students calls upon the administration of The Ohio State University to take all necessary steps to ensure that Ohio State is free from discrimination and violence against its students, faculty and staff.
