A Resolution Amending Resolution 0304-AU-008

WHEREAS House Bill 290 does not specify a funding source for the forgivable loan program it establishes; and

WHEREAS the possibility therefore exists that the program might be funded through a reduction in the University's state subsidy, which would negatively impact the University's budgetary situation,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that Resolution 0304-AU-013 is hereby amended as follows:

THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Council of Graduate Students supports and encourages enactment of House Bill 290 for the benefit of higher education and economic growth in the State of Ohio as long as the forgivable loan program it creates is not funded by any means that would decrease the University's state subsidy or by any other state funding source currently used for higher education; and
